Anna-Kristin Behnert attended the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg and completed her bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering (specialization: logistic) in 2018. In her Master's degree, she switched to the Digital Engineering programme at the Faculty of Computer Science and completed his studies there in 2021. Since April 2019 she has been working as technical employee at the IAF and since april 2021 as research assistant at the IAF.

Design processes for production systems are characterized by engineering services in which a wide variety of engineering disciplines are involved with specialized design tools and in which a wide variety of design results must be consistently exchanged between these design tools. To date, various technologies have been developed for this information exchange, which can fulfill different data exchange requirements, for example with regard to information structuring, information security and information consistency.
The aim of the project is to bring some of these technologies together in a common scenario and to enable companies using them to gradually adapt their design processes to the use of this set of technologies. The internationally standardized data exchange format AutomationML (according to IEC 62714) will be of particular importance.
