Requirements with regard to the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering of products and production systems result in a more comprehensive consideration of the consistency of the influencing engineering processes. Against the context of digital process optimisation in the fields of individual parts planning/toolmaking and car body construction/plant engineering, engineering workflows and processes are to be considered both organisationally and operationally, described in terms of corresponding data flows and enhanced by methods of enterprise architecture management.
